In cooperation with the AlarmTheater Bielefeld, I contacted the drug counseling center of the Diakonie in Herford in 2015. My concern was to do a workshop with children of addicted parents.
For several weeks we met in a large house with a garden to use contact microphones to examine all possible materials tonally: appliances in the canteen kitchen, a piano, the wooden floor, balloons, the rain gutter, the turf, a manhole cover, a tree stump, . .., …
The children came up with an idea for the title and the cover photo of the piece, which I composed from the materials obtained. And told me how it should sound: loud, danceable, beautiful, shrill and with a piano.
