from here… LIVE! is a composition for ensemble and narrator. In 12 chapters, field recordings are interwoven with instrumental sounds, the musicians interpret environmental sounds and the spatial sound constantly changes.
The musicians each sit next to one of the 8 loudspeakers, with the audience in the centre.
The composition is based on the 8-channel sound installation from here…, which is based on a one-year journey from the Caspian Sea through Central Asia, China and Korea overland to Japan and from there back to Germany.
The central chapter deals with the various repressions and fears of the people in the countries on the journey.
