im namen der lippischen rose

A radio play based on the Lippiflorium by Magister Justinus
13th Century:
It is the time of founding cities and bloody feuds.
Bernhard II is a knight of this time. His rise as local ruler, his descent through serious illness, his reflection on the church and finally his last crusade are described in Magister Justin’s Lippiflorium.
A heroic epic of the Middle Ages, accompanied and contrasted by the sounds of World Youth Day in Cologne and the Sparrenburg Festival in Bielefeld, which are examples of how the Middle Ages and Christianity are dealt with today.
