The composition eterno presente – alla presenza del Vesuvio is based on field recordings, recorded at the gulf of Naples.

All different places had one thing common: the view on the volcano Vesuv and being close to the sea. The potential destructive power of the volcano which appears to be calm creates a kind of an eternal now.

In this composition the contemporary influences on Naples and the surrounding area are captured: the influence of the religion, the coffee bars, the narrow and wide streets, the sea, football, but also the organised crime.

The composition reflects the liveliness and diversity of this region and deals with the different moods. The vitality as well as the smooth drifting, the calmness as well as the noise and the high level of dynamism.
