Auguries of Innocence

In the search for an expression of spirituality without belief in a
God, sound material from various religious practices is collaged together. Individual specific messages, as well as any sense of exoticism, are thereby lost;
they are ‘detraditionalised’ by the equal treatment of all available sounds,
so that, ultimately, progressive and conservative forces cancel each other out. Based on a poem by
William Blake.

The piece will be performed on 5 September 2026 at 11 p.m. at Festival Supersonique in Marseille
