Jour fixe zur Klanginstallation "von hier aus..."

von hier aus… ist eine mehrkanalige Klanginstallation, die aus einer einjährigen Recherchereise durch Asien entsteht. Vom Kapischen Meer geht es durch Zentralasien über China und Südkorea nach Japan. Im Zentrum der Klanginstallation stehen Interviews mit Menschen in den verschiedenen Ländern. Die Interviews wurden in der jeweiligen Muttersprache geführt und sind zusammen mit Umweltaufnahmen, die während der Reise entstanden sind, zu der Klanginstallation komponiert worden. Die Installation ist vom 01.09. bis zum 20.10. im Kunstverein Bochum und vom 03.11. bis zum 15.12. im Kunstverein Kreis Gütersloh zu hören.
Beim Jour fixe veranstaltet von der Cooperativa Neue Musik gibt es eine Einführung zu dem Projekt und Erläuterungen zu der Reise.

…the world looks very different.
We mainly look at other countries out of two view points:
Either we set the country in relationship to us or at least look from the view point of our history and our interests towards it.
Or we look at a certain event.
Rarely we have a look at the world as people in this country will have.
How do the see the world? Which countries do they recognise in which way? Who is important for them?
On a one year travel from the Caspian Sea across Central and East Asia to Japan I had more than 50 interviews in 16 different languages. Out of these interviews and the field recordings of the travel I created a multi channel sound installation.
At the Jour fixe of the Cooperativa Neue Musik I will give an introduction to the project and talk about the travel.
