Der Abwurf der Atombomben über Hiroshima und Nagasaki war eine Zäsur, die weit über die zeitlichen und räumlichen Auswirkungen der beiden Städte hinausgeht.

Es gibt die lokalen Verheerungen, das unmittelbare Leiden vor Ort. Das Leiden der Überlebenden, das sich in der Zeit fortsetzt. die Stigmatisierung der Opfer. Überlebende, die mit unzähligen physischen wie psychischen Erkrankungen zurecht kommen mussten.

Es gibt die Opfer anderer Nationen.
Es gibt die unterschiedlichen Rezeptionen in verschiedenen Kulturen, oftmals auslesbar wer vermeintlich einen Krieg gewann und wer ihn verlor.

6ter August, 8 16 (JST) ist eine Performance aus Klang, Körper und Raum in Gedenken an die Opfer. Klangkunst, elektronische Musik, field recordings aus Hiroshima und Nagasaki treffen auf Bewegung und Sprache, fordern das Publikum, überfordern es, führen es in erschütterte Stille.

The dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a caesura that goes far beyond the temporal and spatial effects of the two cities.

There is the local devastation, the immediate suffering on the ground. The suffering of the survivors, which continues in time. the stigmatization of the victims. Survivors who had to cope with countless physical and mental illnesses.

There are the victims of other nations.
There are the different perceptions in different cultures, showing the difference between who supposedly won a war and who lost it.

August 6th, 8 16 (JST) is a performance of sound, body and space in memory of the victims. Sound art, electronic music, field recordings from Hiroshima and Nagasaki meet movement and language, challenge the audience, overtax them, lead them into shocked silence.
