Ensemble Freie Musik

For around 30 years, EFM has been engaged in instant composing, i.e., creating pieces of music in the moment, without preconceived concepts or prior agreements. The pieces and performances that result are not only unique and unrepeatable, they are also always a reflection of the accompanying circumstances: the line-up of the group, the audience, and, last but not least, the space in which the concert takes place.
With the personnel changes that have taken place over the years, the EFM has grown into a living organism that today presents itself with musicians from different generations who contribute to the diversity of the group and thus of the music with their individual biographies. In combination with the musicians’ spontaneous approach, an exciting listening experience can be expected.
