“Bangladesh” is a district in Yerevan, Armenia. It is the nickname of the inhabitants. A multistorey neighbourhood. A relic of the soviet times.
The little hums of bangladesh are sounds which are ordinary, mostly overheard, but a stable connection in the acoustic environment.
Gas pipes, distribution boards, electric meter. The sound waxes and wanes, an own rhythm and texture in the everydaylife of the audience, the inhabitants of Bangladesh.
The installation had been shown in the group exhibition “Cities” together with Agathe Lepoutre and Antoine Janot at the Modern Art Museum in Yerevan 2012.
